Baseball Game Preview: St. Luke's Storm vs. King Vikings

For the second straight game, St. Luke will face off against King. The Storm will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. St. Luke's is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

St. Luke's is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over King on Tuesday. The Storm have beaten the Vikings the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

David Carioto looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because St. Luke's is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gage Saresky, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Pepp Biasotti was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

St. Luke's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
