Soccer Game Preview: Lubbock vs. Monterey

Lubbock is 1-8-1 against Monterey since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lubbock Westerners will head out to square off against the Monterey Plainsmen at 5:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Lubbock didn't have quite enough to beat Tascosa and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Monterey was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Caprock could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. Monterey's draw makes their record 4-2-1 this season.

Lubbock came up short against Monterey in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Lubbock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
