Preview: Polk County Wildcats vs. McMinn Central Chargers
The Polk County Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the McMinn Central Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Polk County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Even though Marion County scored an imposing 61 points on Monday, Polk County still came out on top. Polk County took their match against Marion County 70-61.
Meanwhile, McMinn Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 79-40 loss at the hands of Bradley Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McMinn Central has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Brayden Bystry, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Will Cooper, who scored ten points.
Polk County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for McMinn Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.
Polk County lost to McMinn Central on the road by a decisive 59-44 margin in their previous matchup on Friday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cooper, who scored 19 points along with five assists.
