There's no place like home for Cary Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. David's Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Cary Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-20.

Presley Osborn paced Cary Christian's offense, picking up 15 kills. Osborn got some help from Savannah Shiley and her 29 assists. Shiley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Defeat or not, St. David's got some senior leadership from Mary Elizabeth Martin and Maria Borges. Martin had nine digs and one assist, while Borges had nine assists and six digs.

Cary Christian's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for St. David's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
