Basketball Recap: Nick Andrade Key Part of a Team Effort in Wildcats Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Taft duked it out withWasco on Tuesday. The Taft Wildcats put the hurt on the Wasco Tigers with a sharp 68-46 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Taft's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Andrade, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Andrade a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Ernie Laulu, who went 7 for 17 en route to 18 points and four steals.

The victory got Taft back to even at 9-9. As for Wasco, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Taft has already played their next game, a 56-37 win against Delano on the 16th. As for Wasco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-23 loss against Shafter on the 16th.
