Baseball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the White Swan Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Friday.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for White Swan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Highland will be playing in front of their home fans against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for White Swan, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri-Cities Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
