Volleyball Recap: Klein Cain Beats Klein Collins for Their Third Straight Victory

Klein Cain waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Klein Collins Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Klein Cain never let Klein Collins on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25, 25-21.

Kelly Wright paced Klein Cain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Wright got some help from Hana Penberthy and her 33 assists. Penberthy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Josie Hoff, racking up two apiece.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 21-12. As for Klein Collins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season.

Klein Cain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Tomball on the 19th. As for Klein Collins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Klein Forest on the 19th.
