Basketball Recap: Quitman Skates Past Jasper with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Quitman). They blew past the Jasper Pirates, posting a 68-39 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 29 points or more this season.

Quitman pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Jasper, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Quitman will challenge Fordyce at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jasper, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marshall at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
