Baseball Recap: Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool Takes a Loss

If Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Highlands on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trailblazers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williamsburg Wildcats on Monday. The Trailblazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool got a good showing from Scott Reeder, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Reeder has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Yarnell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Williamsburg, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Coming up, Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool will take on Gateway Legacy Christian Academy in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Williamsburg, they will welcome Lynchburg-Clay at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
