Basketball Game Preview: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. Lincoln Hornets

The Sage Creek Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Lincoln Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Sage Creek earned a 71-61 win over Army-Navy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Vaughn Young and Jordan Barnhart were among the main playmakers for Sage Creek as the former posted 29 points and the latter had 21 points and seven assists. Those 29 points gave Young a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maxx Mitchell, who earned six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Lincoln took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They blew past Preuss UCSD 68-33.
