Pleasant Valley dropped their record down to 10-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost  14-6 to the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won  24-14.
  Jovie Valenzuela made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI. She is  on a roll when it comes to  doubles, as she's  now  hit two or more in each of the last three games she's  played.  Bella Altemose also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
As for East Stroudsburg South, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record  this season. Considering they have won six matches by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
On East Stroudsburg South's side,  Joslynn Yurescko made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Yurescko was also solid in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with three  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Erin Brozusky, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.  Johanna Carey was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Valley will head out to  square off against Stroudsburg  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 8.7  runs per game this season. As for East Stroudsburg South, they will square off against East Stroudsburg North at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
