Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. Warner Robins

The Perry Panthers will face off against the Warner Robins Demons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Warner Robins will be up against a hot Perry squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Perry never let Ware County get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Friday. Perry's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Warner Robins came tearing into Tuesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Yellow Jackets. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Warner Robins pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 63 goals over those nine contests. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Perry took their win against Warner Robins in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 9-0. Does Perry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Warner Robins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
