Basketball Recap: Pierce City Comes Up Short

Pierce City lost against New Heights Christian Academy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pierce City Eagles fell 55-46 to the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Adam Stanton, who posted 15 points and four steals for New Heights Christian Academy. Ben Schumacher was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 13 points.

Pierce City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Pierce City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they have already played their next match, a 63-52 victory against Diamond on the 28th.
