Preview: Foard Tigers vs. North Iredell Raiders

The Foard Tigers's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the North Iredell Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Foard pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 76-66 to St. Stephens. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Foard in their matchups with St. Stephens: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite their defeat, Foard saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aiden Ollis, who scored 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ollis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Orndoff, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Foard were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. This was only their tenth loss (out of 14 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

North Iredell suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 95-34 loss at the hands of Hickory. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Iredell has scored all season.

Foard has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for North Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Foard came up short against North Iredell when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 65-57. Will Foard have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
