Basketball Recap: Santa Fe South Takes a Loss

Santa Fe South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Elgin Owls, falling 73-52. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Owls are ranked 190th).

Santa Fe South's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Elgin, they pushed their record up to 9-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Santa Fe South will welcome Carl Albert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Elgin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-35 win against Altus on the 8th.
