Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Comes Up Short

Heritage Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Ben Davis on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Giants by a score of 2-1. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Giants 25-20 in the first set.

Heritage Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Heritage Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ethan Gorny had four digs and four aces. Gorny has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times he's played.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Ben Davis, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Covenant Christian on the 10th. As for Ben Davis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 10th.
