Football Recap: Graham Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Graham unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chatham Central Bears on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Graham had strong showings from Ja'Den Hamlet, who rushed for 72 yards, and Cam Furges, who rushed for 22 yards and two TDs.

Chatham Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooks Albright, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 103 yards on only nine carries. Those 218 passing yards gave Albright a new career-high. Chatham Central's leading receiver Nicholas Glover was Albright's top target yet again, picking up 93 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coming up, Graham will venture away from home to challenge Cedar Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chatham Central, they will welcome Jordan-Matthews at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
