Basketball Recap: Deshler Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Austin came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Deshler, but Reece Davis wouldn't allow it. The Deshler Tigers blew past the Austin Black Bears, posting an 80-52 victory thanks in part to Davis, who went 12 of 22 on her way to 37 points. The matchup was her eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Deshler is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.3 points. As for Austin, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Deshler has already played their next game, a 70-26 win against Sheffield on the 30th. As for Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-34 victory against Decatur on the 3rd.
