Baseball Recap: South Delta Comes Up Short

If South Delta was riding high fresh off their 19-6 takedown of West Tallahatchie last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Delta lost 19-4 to the Simmons Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

South Delta now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Simmons, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Delta will head out to face off against Leland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Simmons, they will venture away from home to square off against Leflore County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Simmons is facing Leflore County at the right time seeing as Leflore County is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
