Preview: Dumont Huskies vs. Fort Lee Bridgemen

Dumont is 8-2 against Fort Lee since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Dumont Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Fort Lee Bridgemen at 7:00 p.m. Dumont is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.

Dumont suffered their closest loss yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Tenafly by a score of 45-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dumont in their matchups with Tenafly: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Fort Lee was able to grind out a solid win over Cresskill on Sunday, taking the game 55-43. The win was just what Fort Lee needed coming off of a 65-33 defeat in their prior matchup.

Fort Lee's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Devin Jang, who scored 18 points, and Guy Vickers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Vickers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Maxwell Greenberg was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

Dumont has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Fort Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Dumont strolled past Fort Lee when the teams last played on January 2nd by a score of 57-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dumont since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
