Basketball Recap: Cape Cod Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Mike Berry and Harrison Lauf

Cape Cod Academy lost against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cape Cod Academy Seahawks lost to the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins at home by a 88-73 margin. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cape Cod Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Harrison Lauf and Mike Berry. Lauf went 10 of 18 en route to 27 points and five assists, while Berry went 6 of 11 on his way to 21 points and eight boards. Those 27 points gave Lauf a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Jatczak, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Cape Cod Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Cod Academy and Falmouth will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will take on Holbrook in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
