Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Indians vs. Ripley Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Itawamba Agricultural Indians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-36 victory over Ripley at home. Winning may never get old, but Itawamba Agricultural sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ripley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Spight, who scored 13 points. Alorian Story was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Itawamba Agricultural has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Ripley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Itawamba Agricultural's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Amory at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Amory will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Itawamba Agricultural is ranked 46th). As for Ripley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shannon at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th. Shannon is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
