Baseball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Spartans vs. Pomona Panthers

The Thomas Jefferson Spartans will face off against the Pomona Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Thomas Jefferson didn't have quite enough to beat Longmont and fell 4-3.

Thomas Jefferson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Flores-Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Flores-Sanchez has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Pomona had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 16-1 to Centaurus. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
