Broughton is 8-2 against Enloe since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Capitals are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

The shutout was out of character for the Capitals seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Broughton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Enloe came up short against Rolesville on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Enloe ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Broughton's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Enloe, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Broughton beat Enloe 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Capitals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
