Softball Recap: Lake Mary Comes Up Short

Lake Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Apopka Blue Darters. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Darters this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in February.

Lake Mary saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Bakker, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Lake Mary's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Apopka, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Lake Mary will take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Apopka, they will face off against Edgewater at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
