Gahr dropped down to 4-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost to the Norwalk Lancers at home by a 27-13 margin. If the Gladiators were looking for revenge after losing 43-35 to the Lancers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Gahr lost, don't look at Roman Acosta. Despite the final result, he rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 146 yards on 12 of 21 attempts.

As for Norwalk, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 37.9 points this season.

Diego Cerritos continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 106 yards and one score on only 15 carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Gahr will challenge Compton Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gladiators will be up against the Rising Phoenix's rather soft defense (which has allowed 46 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Norwalk, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Firebaugh on the 21st.
