Basketball Game Preview: Latexo Tigers vs. Normangee Panthers

Latexo hasn't had much luck against Normangee recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Latexo Tigers challenge the Normangee Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-6, which was the final score in Latexo's tilt against Lovelady on Tuesday. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Normangee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Lovelady 46-18. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1304th, while the Lions are ranked 247th).

Normangee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Latexo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Latexo took a serious blow against Normangee in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 52-17. Can Latexo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
