University extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 8 this week by beating Westminster Christian, 27-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
The Warriors moved up to 251 from 283 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Westminster Christian was able to make move up by losing to University 27-0.
Roger Harriott's team's Mike White and Dionte "DJ" Taylor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 1091 yards this season, while Taylor, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 23 catches for 385 yards. Sedrick Irvin's team's Tim Irvin leads the league in rushing yards with 710.
Chaminade-Madonna took down Champagnat Catholic 42-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
