League recap: Brown dominating on the mound for Rosemont

Metro's top pitcher this week was Rosemont's Jalen Brown. He won one game and retired seven batters.

First place in the standings of the league is up for grabs this week, as Kennedy sits tied atop the standings with the Wolverine.

Valley's pitchers were the toughest in the league on opposing hitters this week, giving up only one hit. The Vikings have surrendered a mere 28 hits this season in six games.

There were 16 hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Chas Roberts, who hit 1.000 by going 5-for-5.

Chas Roberts's six RBIs this week were tops in the league. Roberts has eight RBIs this season, fifth in the league.



The Vikings' Roberts struck out eight Lutheran hitters en route to a 29-0 victory on March 18. Over four innings of work, he gave up zero hits and zero runs.

Martin Escoto was an RBI machine on Tuesday, as he knocked in four runs during Florin's 13-7 win over Monterey Trail. He went 2-for-3 and scored one run.
