It was a Battle of the Birds when Grove Christian School duked it out with Williamsburg Christian Academy on Friday. The Falcons never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-0 last Tuesday.

Lucy Foote and Anna Elban scored both of Grove Christian School's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Grove Christian School's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7-1. As for Williamsburg Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove Christian School will take on The Carmel School at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamsburg Christian Academy, they will face off against Richmond Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Williamsburg Christian Academy will be up against Richmond Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.6 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
