Basketball Recap: Warhill Takes a Loss

Warhill lost against Lafayette back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warhill Lions took a hard 58-44 fall against the Lafayette Rams. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Warhill lost, don't look at Kristopher McDonough Ii. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Shamar McCray, who had three points and five rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lafayette to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wayne Santos, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Kordell London was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.

Warhill's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lafayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Warhill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Bruton on the 27th. Lafayette has also already played their next match, a 68-56 loss against Smithfield on the 29th.
