Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs won the last time they faced Pueblo Centennial and things went their way on Monday too. The Manitou Springs Mustangs managed a 38-34 victory over the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Brooklynn Sheffield was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Madison Anderson was another key player, putting up six points along with six boards and six steals.

Manitou Springs was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Pueblo Centennial still got an impressive performance from Ella Greenwood, who posted 15 points. That was a full 44.1% of Pueblo Centennial's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jailee Schwab, who had seven points.
