Basketball Recap: Evansville Christian Comes Up Short

Evansville Christian lost against North Posey back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Evansville Christian Eagles received a blow as they fell 60-44 to the North Posey Vikings. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 16-9 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Evansville Christian still got an impressive performance from Hannah Higgs, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Hallie Higgs, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

North Posey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Heath, who put up 17 points. The match was Heath's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elle Jo Johnson, who earned 13 points.

Evansville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for North Posey, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Evansville Christian has already played their next game, a 60-44 defeat against Forest Park on the 16th. As for North Posey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-53 victory against Heritage Hills on the 14th.
