Recap: City View Mustangs vs. Bowie Jackrabbits
The City View Mustangs waltzed into their contest Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Bowie with points to spare, taking the game 47-28. Given City View's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Bowie is ranked 868th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead City View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyra Taylor, who scored 11 points along with five assists. The game was Taylor's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emarei Brandon, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
The victory got City View back to even at 11-11. As for Bowie, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
City View will head out on the road to face off against Holliday at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bowie, they will be playing at home against Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
