Volleyball Recap: Ottoville Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ottoville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Crestview Knights by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Big Green have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Ottoville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

Kendall Schnipke paced Ottoville's offense, picking up 18 kills. Schnipke got some help from Briley Wertenberger and her 36 assists. Vanessa Hilvers controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ottoville's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Crestview, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.

Ottoville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Continental on the 9th. As for Crestview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Archbold on the 9th.
