Baseball Recap: Sumner Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sumner can now relate to. They fell just short of the Alonso Ravens by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Stingrays haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Sumner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Farmer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sumner now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Alonso, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Sumner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alonso, they will challenge Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Ravens' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
