Baseball Recap: Satsuma Triumphs

Satsuma got themselves on the board against St. Michael Catholic on Thursday, but St. Michael Catholic never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

The result came thanks to Tucker Hicks's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Coleman was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Darius Kapua was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Satsuma's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for St. Michael Catholic, they dropped their record down to 11-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Satsuma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
