Maryvale hadn't done well against Depew recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Flyers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Wildcats. For the Flyers, this counts as revenge for the 23-3 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Isaiah Hill was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Altieri, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Maryvale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Depew, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Maryvale by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday.
