Baseball Recap: Aspen Takes a Loss

Aspen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to the Delta Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Skiers of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Aspen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Marolt, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The Skiers are 2-1 when Marolt posts two or more runs, but 0-6 otherwise. Dylan Mika was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

Aspen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Delta, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Aspen by a score of 15-0 later that day.
