Softball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Gobles

Gobles won the last time they faced Bloomingdale and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers blew past the Cardinals 23-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 18 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kylee Killeen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with seven RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. Riley Johnson was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Gobles' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.0 runs over those games. As for Bloomingdale, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Gobles will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Coloma at 4:00 p.m. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out to take on River Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
