Basketball Recap: Wheeler Wins High-Profile Game Against Imhotep Charter

Wheeler and Imhotep Charter (ranked 21st and 48th in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile matchup on Saturday. The Wheeler Wildcats walked away with a 65-58 win over the Imhotep Charter Panthers. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 61-52 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Wheeler is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Imhotep Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Wheeler will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenforest at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Imhotep Charter and St. Raymond Boys will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th.
