Soccer Recap: Pitman Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pitman couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Rocklin Thunder by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Pitman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Rocklin are ranked 14th).

Pitman's loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1. As for Rocklin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4-4.

Pitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rocklin, they will square off against Granite Bay at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
