Basketball Recap: South Broward Victorious

South Broward saw some tournament action on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over the Norland Vikings.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Broward to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bianca Torres, who posted 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Torres a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalia Adams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards.

South Broward is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points per game. As for Norland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

South Broward will face off against North Miami at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Norland, they will challenge Cardinal Gibbons at 11:20 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
