Football Recap: Valley Vista Starts Season with Win at Home

Valley Vista took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They breezed past the Skyline Coyotes to the tune of 38-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lulu Busari, who picked up 144 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Another back making a difference was Kylee Rathburn, who rushed for 43 yards and two TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Valley Vista's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Rathburn and Amara Martin, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Valley Vista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-0 win against Shadow Ridge on the 22nd. As for Skyline, they will challenge Mesquite at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
