Volleyball Recap: Junction City Bluejays vs. Washburn Rural Blues
Junction City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Washburn Rural Blues. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17.
Junction City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Washburn Rural, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2-1.
Junction City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Hayden on the 5th. As for Washburn Rural, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Olathe East.
