Basketball Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

Stagg lost against Lockport on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stagg Chargers fell 42-31 to the Lockport Porters. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Porters are ranked 30th).

Stagg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. As for Lockport, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4.

Stagg will take on Lincoln-Way East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lockport has already played their next contest (against Lincoln-Way West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
