Basketball Recap: Craig County Takes a Loss

Craig County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Narrows Green Waves, falling 68-29. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-40 back in January.

Narrows' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Holmes led the charge by going 8 of 13 en route to 18 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Holmes now owns an excellent 45.8% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Elijah Knoetze, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Craig County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Narrows, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Craig County has already played their next game, a 61-39 loss against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Narrows, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-54 win against Auburn on the 5th.
