Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Iroquois

Iroquois had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Lackawanna Steelers.

Iroquois' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justus Kleitz led the charge by throwing for 213 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 63 yards on only eight carries. That's the most rushing yards Kleitz has posted since back in October of 2024. Iroquois' leading receiver Nicholas Skutnik was Kleitz's top target yet again, picking up 155 receiving yards.

Iroquois' record now sits at 3-1. As for Lackawanna, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Iroquois will host Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lackawanna, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dunkirk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
