Recap: Taylor Ducks vs. Smithville Tigers
Even though the Smithville Tigers scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Taylor Ducks still came out on top. Taylor took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 88-56 win over Smithville. That's another feather in the cap for Taylor, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Treos Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight steals and six assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Eli Laurence was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Taylor's victory bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Smithville, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will take on Austin Achieve at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Taylor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Smithville, they will head out on the road to face off against Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Smithville is coming into the contest with eight straight losses on the road, meaning Caldwell will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
