Softball Recap: Hancock Panthers vs. Mountain Ridge Miners
Hancock lost to Mountain Ridge two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Miners, falling 16-6.
Makensie Boyer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Kaybree Souders was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mountain Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.
Looking ahead, Hancock will take on Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
